DVC Art at Disney’s Riviera Resort

DVC Riviera Resort Main Pool and Waterslide

If you’re one of the many Disney Vacation Club Members who have now had a chance to enjoy the newest DVC resort, Riviera, you probably noticed some of the incredible art sprinkled all throughout the resort. If you haven’t yet been, and plan to book at DVC’s Riviera Resort in the future, when you arrive, be sure to keep an eye out for over 40 custom art pieces designed by Disney Imagineers. They pulled inspiration from some of the great master artists who flocked to the coastal region of France, Italy and Monte Carlo – the very coastline that DVC’s newest resort is influenced by. The art collection includes styles from cubism to post-impressionism and for the art aficionado’s, or even those just curious about what they’re finding on the walls of the resort, visit Riviera’s La Boutique gift shop, where DVC members can learn more about, and even purchase the unique pieces decorating the resort.

One point of interest as you explore an art tour at DVC’s Riviera Resort are the gorgeous mosaic depictions of two beloved Disney stories – Rapunzel and Peter Pan. One scene shows the lanterns flying across the night’s sky from Rapunzel while the other shows Peter, Wendy and the whole gang flying over to Never Neverland. Each mosaic spans from one side of the arch to the other inside the walkway to Disney’s Skyliner. One of those special Disney touches is the fact that both illustrations speak to flight, while being a part of the immersive DVC Member experience just before you embark on your very own flight with the Skyliner. Each mosaic is made up of over 500K hand laid tiles!
