Accommodation sizes and booking seasons dictate the amount of points needed, and members get priority booking access with their home resort. This highly flexible arrangement ensures members are getting the unique vacation experience they want, the magical Disney way. One of our Guides at Disney Resale Experts will help you determine the right size Membership for you and your family to unlock magical vacations year after year.

The Beauty of the DVC Vacation Points System

By becoming a Disney Vacation Club member, you are purchasing a deeded real estate interest granting you access to a wide range of DVC resorts, where you will make your bookings with your annual allotment of Vacation Points. Every year, Vacation Points are allotted to members on a fixed date, known as your Use Year. For example, if you purchase a DVC contract with a January Use Year, your annual allotment of points will be allotted to you on January 1st of each year.

The property of choice is called the member’s home resort, where the member will have a priority window when making reservations, up to 11 months in advance. On the other hand, members can make reservations at other DVC resorts seven months in advance. Having priority access to these booking windows ensures that even during peak vacation seasons (i.e. Christmas, Fourth of July, etc.) and for resorts in high demand, you have a beautiful villa secured, so your dream Disney vacation can come to life.

The best part? These allotted points are all yours to decide what you want to do, each and every year. Book trips on behalf of your friends and family if you like, rent those points out to other members if you’re not going to travel, or will your DVC membership to your next generation.

Tip

Borrow points from next year to book a longer vacation or larger accommodations this year. Bank this year’s points for use next year.

Flexibility

Book a longer vacation or bring family and stay in a larger villa by borrowing points from next year.  You can also bank points from this year to use next year.  You could even bank and borrow to have a truly magical experience, using three years of points in one year!  All with no fees.

What’s the right number of points for you and your family?

That can vary based upon your travel preferences, such as season, favorite resort(s), size of accommodations, and length of vacation. DVC offers so many options and such great flexibility that booking different trips every year is easy.

The more points you have in your membership, the more options you have. Fortunately, buying DVC resale makes it possible for you to purchase more points than buying direct. Disney Vacation Club offers such great flexibility, your limited only by the number of points you have available.

Step by Step Guide to Purchasing DVC Resales

To purchase your Disney Vacation Club membership through DVC resales, follow these simple steps:

Step One

Discover the Right DVC Contract for You and Your Family

DVC’s flexible program allows you to opt for a package that best fits your vacation budget, style, and preference.

Prices vary according to contract details, such as:

  • Home resort
  • Number of points
  • Point availability
  • Use Year

When making reservations at your home resort of choice, your reservation window opens up 11 months in advance, while you are given seven months in advance for the other DVC resorts. Your DVC annual dues are also determined by the home resort you purchase into and how many points are in your membership.

The amount of points allocated to you every year is determined by you, and you can easily refer to the DVC point chart or reach out to one of the friendly experts on our team to determine how many DVC points you’ll need.

Points availability specifies the total amount of points available currently in the contract, accounting for the annual allotment, as well as any points that have been banked or borrowed.

Use Year determines the month in which points are allocated annually to DVC members. There are eight different Use Years for members to choose from—February, March, April, June, August, September, October, and December.

Step Two

Select the Ideal Contract for You

Never settle for an unsatisfactory vacation again. With DVC Resale Experts, you can browse the latest DVC resale listings to discover the perfect contract for great travel opportunities. If you don’t see exactly what you need, please contact us so that we can alert you as soon as it becomes available.

Step Three

If Needed, Choose from Trusted DVC Financing Options

One of the trusted companies for financing Florida-based Disney Vacation Club resale purchases is Monera Financial, who are DVC members themselves. By approving loans based on the applicant’s collateral instead of credit, Monera Financial makes the financing process hassle-free and effective, even for those who’s credit may have some bumps and bruises. Their loan terms go up to 10 years with no prepayment penalty.

To finance a DVC resale purchase with a Home Resort outside of Florida, consider Vacation Club Loans and Timeshare Lending.

Step Four

Make Your Offer

Once you’ve determined which listing is perfect for you, fill in the offer form on the listing page or speak with one of us at DVC Resale Experts at (844) DVC-FANS (382-3267)
.

Step Five

Wait for Contract to Be Processed

After you’ve registered your interest and we’ve worked through your DVC resale contract details, both you and the seller will sign the contract. Once the contract is fully signed, our contract management team will then submit the contract to Disney Vacation Club for the right of first refusal (ROFR) process. Within 30 days, Disney will decide whether it wants to purchase the resale contract we’ve drawn up, with the stipulated terms. Our team at DVC Resale Experts can help coach you on what will help minimize the likelihood of Disney exercising ROFR on your offer.

Step Six

Closing the Contract

Once Disney waives ROFR, the title company will receive an estoppel from Disney and it will issue the closing documents for the buyer and seller to sign.  Once the completed closing documents are received by the title company along with the buyer’s funds, your contract is officially closed. This process typically takes about 2-3 weeks after ROFR is waived.

Step Seven

“Welcome Home!”

You’re officially a Disney Vacation Club Member

Now that it’s all said and done, you’ll receive your DVC membership login credentials and can begin planning your next vacation.  Your magical Disney adventure awaits!
