Is Disney Vacation Club a Good Value?

If you’re already vacationing in Disney resorts and you plan to continue, disputing the value of Disney Vacation Club is difficult. Now, it’s hard to argue with the economics of Disney Vacation Club being a good value, but will you use it? Well, do you plan to stay at a Disney resort at least 5 times over the next 30-40 years? Because that is the typical break even period. Ideally though, do you see yourself vacationing at least once every 3 years? With the flexibility of banking points from last year and borrowing points from next year, ideally you should be vacationing at least every third year, otherwise, DVC may not be a good fit. So, if you do see yourself vacationing every year, but only visiting a Disney resort every five or six years, then DVC Membership probably isn’t the best fit for you and your family. If you do see yourself staying in one of the gorgeous Disney Vacation Club Resorts at least every three years, and using the RCI network now and then to visit destinations around the world, then Disney Vacation Club Membership is definitely a wise investment for you and your family.
