From tea cups to tee time, Disney has something for everyone. This summer Disney is reimagining it’s infamous golf course, Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course. The course has been closed since May 2022 in efforts to revamp holes 14-17, and Disney is full of anticipation for its DVC golfers to get back on the green.

Two PGA Tour stars - 2017 Masters winner Sergio Garcia and 2019 US Open champion Gary Woodland - recently took a sneak peek at the re-imagination process and needless to say they are just excited as we are about the improvements.

“It will be amazing. The 15th (becoming) a big par 5; 16 is a long par 4 and they’ve brought in water perfectly,” said Woodland. “You’re going to have four closing holes down the stretch that will test every aspect of your game. It’ll be a great finish here at Magnolia.”

"It’s a fun course to play. When (golfers) finish their rounds, they can’t wait to come back and I think that’s something the Magnolia course will have,” stated Garcia.

Disney’s official Golf WDW site has laid out the plans for each of the holes.

• Hole 14 - Currently a par 5, will become a par 4, with a new green location

• Hole 15 - Currently a par 3, will shift location and become a long par 5, dogleg to the right

• Hole 16 - Will shift location and remain a par 4, but will now become a dogleg to the left

• Hole 17 - Currently a par 4, will become a par 3, with new tee box locations

It is most likely that the course will remain closed for the rest of the summer, but DVC members and golfers can still get their green fix on Disney’s other three courses in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. 

Disney’s Palm Golf Course, Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course, and Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course, are open and available now. 

Check Disney’s official website for reservations, tee times, and club and golf cart rentals. Disney does allow non-golfers to ride along as spectators depending on how busy the course is that day. Strict dress code is required for golfers, but don’t worry if you forgot something, the golf shop does have attire available for purchase. 

Professionals and Disney fans alike are agreeing that the work that The Arnold Palmer Golf Management Company is doing with Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course will be a hole in one!
