What’s Selling Right Now (and What It Means for Owners Thinking About Selling)
The Disney Vacation Club resale market has entered 2026 with steady activity and consistent buyer demand across a wide range of resorts. Current transaction data provides a clear snapshot of how the market is performing and what sellers can realistically expect.
Transaction Volume Remains Strong
Over the past 12 months, 775 resale contracts closed, representing more than $13.5 million in total sales volume. Activity has remained consistent into the start of 2026, with 223 contracts closing in just the most recent three-month period, demonstrating continued buyer engagement across multiple resorts and price tiers.
For owners considering listing, this level of closing volume indicates that qualified buyers are actively purchasing contracts rather than waiting on the sidelines.
Average Time to Sell
Across recently completed transactions, contracts have averaged approximately 41 days on market from listing to pending status. Seasonal fluctuations still occur, but most properly priced contracts are moving within a four-to-six-week window, particularly when they match common buyer preferences for resort, contract size, and available points.
Listings that begin significantly above recent comparable sales tend to remain active longer, while contracts priced in line with current market activity typically receive earlier offers.
Typical Negotiation Range
Recent closing trends show an average sale-to-list ratio of approximately 93.7%, meaning most contracts ultimately sell within a relatively narrow range of their original asking price when positioned appropriately. Strategic pricing at the outset continues to produce the strongest seller outcomes.
Resorts Showing Strong Price Stability
Average sold price-per-point trends over the past year continue to reflect consistent demand across several resorts. Recent 12-month averages include:
- Disney’s Grand Californian: approximately $230.94 per point
- Polynesian Villas & Bungalows: approximately $157.55 per point
- Grand Floridian Resort & Spa: approximately $156.29 per point
- Bay Lake Tower: approximately $127.84 per point
- Saratoga Springs: approximately $93.81 per point
While prices vary based on contract size, use year, and available points, these averages illustrate the relative strength of buyer demand across different resort categories.
ROFR Activity Remains Present but Selective
Disney’s Right of First Refusal (ROFR) activity continues to be an important factor in resale transactions. Over the past 12 months, 758 contracts were submitted for ROFR review, with 74 contracts repurchased by Disney, representing an overall buyback rate of approximately 9.8%.
This indicates that while ROFR remains active, the majority of resale contracts continue to pass successfully when priced within current market ranges.
What This Means for Owners Considering Selling
Current resale data shows a stable, active market characterized by:
- Consistent buyer demand
- Predictable transaction timelines
- Competitive but steady pricing conditions
- Selective — not widespread — ROFR activity
For DVC Members evaluating whether 2026 may be the right time to sell, understanding how a specific contract compares to recent listings and completed sales remains the most important first step. A personalized market valuation based on current comparable sales can provide a clear picture of expected pricing range, estimated time to sell, and current buyer demand for that specific resort and contract configuration.
