BoardWalk Deli Open at Disney World

BoardWalk Deli Open at Disney World

There’s always something new, or refreshed, at Disney and we’re here to keep you in the know with everything Disney Vacation Club resort related. The BoardWalk has an updated dining option to enjoy on your next trip! I won’t say new because this grab and go quick service stop feels like an old, familiar friend. The BoardWalk Bakery has been replaced by the BoardWalk Deli and offers much of the same kind of magic, just with more Mickey.

BoardWalk Deli Opens at Disney World

If you’re a long time Disney Vacation Club Member at Disney’s BoardWalk Villas who appreciates nostalgia, there’s no need to worry about the changes. The BoardWalk Deli has the same layout and feel, just slightly updated, and the proprietor, as noted on their exterior of the storefront, is still Hue G. Krazont. Disney humor at its finest. The menu, however, has some exciting new additions and much more Mickey Mouse. If you like your treats Mickey shaped or topped with mouse homage adornments, add the BoardWalk Deli to your itinerary.

BoardWalk Deli Menu

The BoardWalk Deli serves breakfast and then switches over to a shared lunch and dinner menu. Though it’s considered a sandwich shop, there is an enticing bakery selection that’s available all day. Choose from mouse eared items like a cookies and cream cupcake, cannoli, NY half moon cookie, or sprinkled brownie. Among the cutest of choices are the chocolate chip cookie and chocolate muffin. The chocolate chips are Mickey shaped! Nice work, BoardWalk Deli.

For breakfast, there’s something for everyone with both sweet and savory choices. Breakfast sandwiches can include a hearty lineup like cage-free eggs, bacon, caramelized onion and cheddar on a plain bagel or an everything bagel with smoked salmon, tomato, arugula and caper-onion cream cheese. On the dinner and lunch menu, guests will find deli style picks like a pastrami Reuben and options for other tastes like a roasted chicken sandwich or grilled cheese and tomato basil soup. There are also salads and a few things for plant based eaters to enjoy as well like a veggie crunch muffuletta sandwich, fresh chips and coleslaw. The house-made deli pickle comes in a bag and is packed with flavor. For a pick me up, you can also get a specialty coffee at BoardWalk Deli.

Mobile order via the My Disney Experience app is the way of the world. This makes BoardWalk Deli a great option for a quick meal to go. You can’t beat the outdoor dining space if you do decide to stay and eat. Disney’s BoardWalk area is beautiful any time of day but especially lovely with its evening string lights and sunset views. Entertainment on the BoardWalk also brings a little something extra.

Additional Restaurant Changes at Disney’s BoardWalk

Disney’s BoardWalk, and the resort in general, is getting quite a few updates at this time. What was once a sports centric ESPN themed restaurant is now being converted into a bakery and table service restaurant that’s expected to open in 2023. Disney has shared that The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers will have a whimsical interior and offer an afternoon tea service. BoardWalk Ice Cream replaced Ample Hills Creamery and Flying Fish reopened with a new menu. If you haven’t been to Disney’s BoardWalk in a while, expect it to be different than your last visit to the Crescent Lake area. This resort will also be receiving a lobby, lounge and room refresh along with a new coffee bar just off of the lobby. If you’ve considered joining Disney Vacation Club with Disney’s BoardWalk Villas as your home resort of choice, it’s a great time to become a Member.
