There are so many Disney Vacation Club home resorts to choose from, each with their own special flair. These Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa lobby pictures show updates to the lobby and check in area that debuted in the fall of 2021. There are also some glimpses pictured of the updates to the seating area that connects the lobby to the quick service restaurant at the resort, The Artist’s Palette. These kinds of changes and refreshes are always fun to explore. Note that while the resort lobby and DVC rooms were just fully refurbished, Saratoga Springs is still not fully operational since it closed and reopened in 2020. As of July 2022, Senses Spa at Saratoga Springs is not operating. There are still other updates happening at this property though.
Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa Lobby Pictures
Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa lobby, referred to as The Carriage House, received a refurbishment that was completed in 2021. Disney Vacation Club Resort properties follow a regular refurbishment schedule. Once it has opened, each DVC resort gets a light room refresh every seven years, then a full room refurbishment every fourteen years. Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa opened in 2004 and this falls into that full refurbishment category.
The resort’s overall theme is inspired by the horse racing retreat in New York. Building exteriors are an iconic pastel and this resort has a relaxed and quaint feeling about it. Saratoga Springs has a prime location for those who love to shop or want many dining options near their resort. Guests of Saratoga can take a walking path on the water or travel by boat to Disney Springs shopping and dining complex.
The Saratoga Springs lobby refurbishment combines classic and modern decor styles and furnishings along with inspiration from its equestrian theme and horse characters from Disney movies. Regal portraits of Disney horses are displayed in the new lobby. I won’t spill all the secrets here but I will tell you a couple of these horses are hard to identify, even for a major Disney fan. You might need to ask a friendly cast member for some hints as to their names and films!
Additional resort refurbishments are still taking place at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa. This note from Disney Vacation Club’s website specifies the details and what guests can expect:

As our Resort hotel refurbishments continue, you may see or hear construction during daytime hours.
2022 Refurbishments
From October 3 through mid-December 2022, the Congress Park leisure pool and the Treehouse Villa pools will be closed for refurbishment. During this time, the High Rock Spring Pool, Grandstand Pool and Paddock Pool will remain open during usual operating hours.
Shuttle transportation between the Treehouse Villas and the High Rock Springs Pool will be available from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily.
2023 Refurbishments
From early January 2023 through late-March 2023, High Rock Spring Pool and On the Rocks Pool Bar will be closed while the pool undergoes refurbishment. The Grandstand Pool, The Paddock Pool and Congress Park Pool will remain open for your enjoyment.
You may see and hear construction while refurbishments are underway, but you should not hear noise from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00 AM.
