It's that special time. You find the Disney Vacation Club contract you want on the resale market. From the math you've done, you're saving thousands of dollars compared to direct prices. You place a bid and your offer is accepted. Hooray! And now the buying process begins. You probably have lots of questions. When will I receive my Disney Vacation Club Member login? When can I book my first Disney deluxe resort hotel stay with my new points? Read on for a look at timing, the overall process and when you can expect to have your login information. It's a little different if you're a first time buyer compared to someone adding on points.

When Will I Receive My Disney Vacation Club Member Login?

Day one of the process starts when your offer is accepted. From there, all details are confirmed, lots of documents are signed and the Right of First Refusal process happens. This is where Disney is able to choose to buy the contract back at the agreed upon sale price if they choose to do so. It's a standard step written into all Disney Vacation Club contracts. If Disney chooses to exercise their Right of First Refusal and buy the contract back, DVC Resale Experts will do their best to help you quickly find another contract with the right specifications. If Disney does not use their ROFR privilege, the sale will move forward to the closing process.

The closing process is anticipated to be weeks five through eight. When all is signed, sealed and delivered you'll received a confirmation email from the title company. When Disney receives confirmation the purchase has been finalized, they will begin the process of creating your new contract and transferring the points to your new Membership. This part can take between three to six weeks. It depends on how busy each of the departments involved in this process are. So in total, from when your offer is accepted, to when you receive your Disney Vacation Club login could be up to fourteen weeks.

For new Members, during this time you will be looking for your Club ID and Activation Code which Disney will send. These allow you to set up your online Disney Vacation Club Membership Portal. Then you can book your first magical vacation with your new points!

For existing Members who are adding on points, it typically doesn't take quite as long. You can expect to see the new contract appear in your Membership Portal within seven to ten business days after closing. Member Services will transfer the points into your new contract so you can be on your way to booking your next stay!
