Annual dues are just part of Disney Vacation Club. Yes, it's not ideal when they go up. Compared to the cost of renting a Disney hotel room, though, DVC still provides an excellent value. Resale is usually even better! While hotel room rates can go up annually quite a bit per night, annual dues typically rise just a few cents per point each year based on the needs of the resort. The proposed DVC maintenance fees for 2023, also known as annual dues, have been released.

How much are DVC annual dues?

To determine how much you will pay in annual dues, multiply the number of points on your contract by the per point annual due fee. The more points you have, the more you'll pay. If you have contracts at different resorts you'll pay the annual dues per point rate for each.

How often do DVC annual dues go up?

Prices can go up each year but not all do. Annual dues are also called maintenance fees because much of the money goes to upkeep. Hotels need to be painted and room refurbishments need to happen. These funds support those actions and more. The older a hotel is, the more refurbishing it's likely to need. The Disney Vacation Club resorts located on beaches have additional features to manage. Annual dues also go toward things like paying taxes and supporting Cast Member benefits. If these costs rise, so do annual dues. So how often annual dues go up depends on the needs of each individual resort. Disney Vacation Club is pretty good about specifying why certain costs rise.
