Do you need a MagicBand at Disney World?

No, you do not need a MagicBand at Disney World. They can add convenience but traditional options and other digital options are available as well.

You can ask for a simple room key at your resort to gain entry to your room. You can also use the My Disney Experience app to unlock your door. Follow in app directions and you'll tap your phone instead of a key or MagicBand.

To enter the parks, you can use a traditional ticket printed out at Disney or Disney MagicMobile which allows you to use your phone. You can use an iPhone, Apple Watch or Android phone to enter the parks this way.

How much is MagicBand+?

MagicBand+ is pricier than the original and comes in a range of prices. You can find a simple MagicBand+ in a single color, like Dark Pink, for $34.99. The MagicBand+ with characters on them usually cost $44.99. Some special edition MagicBand+ will cost $54.99 and $64.99.
