Moonlight Magic is back for 2022! This DVC exclusive event is now part of the Membership Magic Extras once again after a hiatus. Disney Vacation Club can come with some magical perks and extras. What is Moonlight Magic?
Moonlight Magic is a type of special event just for Disney Vacation Club Members and their guests. These events are hosted after hours at Disney Parks. Disney advertises attendees can expect shorter wait times for the attractions that are open, characters, special entertainment and complimentary treats. In times when Walt Disney World Resort is fully operating, there is a slate of these events each year.
Is DVC resale eligible for Moonlight Magic?
Those who purchase DVC resale alone are not eligible to attend Moonlight Magic. In order to be eligible for these events, as of 2022, new Members must purchase a minimum of 150 points from Disney Vacation Club directly. However, if you already qualify for Membership extras you can add on additional points through resale DVC and have the best of both worlds. If you were to purchase the minimum to qualify from Disney directly and purchase another contract with the same use year on the DVC resale market, those points will be easy to transfer and use together. For those who visit Disney often and would benefit from having a large number of points, a direct contract and resale contract combination works well.

How to Register for DVC Moonlight Magic 2022
Members will be sent an email with a link to register. All guests must register in order to attend. These events have a limited capacity and do sell out. In addition to having the right kind of Disney Vacation Club Membership card, in order to be eligible a Member may also need to have a resort reservation at the time of the event. In this case, the amount of guests you can bring may depend on how many people are on your reservation. Similar to day time operations, children under three do not need a ticket and don’t count against your party number. Modifications are made through the same link you register through. There is a limit on attending. Disney says, ‘In order to allow as many Members as possible to enjoy Moonlight Magic, only one event date for each participating park will be available per Membership.’ For additional and continually updated information, see the Disney Vacation Club Moonlight Magic site.
