In 2025 there’s a brand new theme park to explore in Orlando. Universal’s Epic Universe has a line up of exciting lands and rides to explore. If you’re traveling with little ones, the height requirements will help you know what to plan into your day and what to avoid. There may also be rider swap if other members in your party want to take turns enjoying the ride. There is a lot to look forward to when Universal Epic Universe opens May 22nd, 2025.

After the metal detectors and ticket scanning but before the park's main portal, you'll find the height requirement measurement sign for all of the Epic Universe attractions. This is pictured above. This blue circle sign has all of the attractions at Epic Universe and lines that children can stand in front of to see if they meet the height requirement for the attractions. You may want to take a picture of the little members of your party in front of this for easy visual reference throughout the day.

*For these attractions, Universal says: Children under 48" must be accompanied by a Supervising Companion. Hand-held infants are not permitted.

These are the Epic Universe height requirements by land. In addition to these attractions, there will be shows and other experiences suitable for all ages and heights.

Celestial Park Height Requirements

This area of the park has an entertainment, dining and shopping focus. Lush landscaping and large fountains also fill Celestial Park. There are a few classic style attractions to enjoy as well.

How to Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk Height Requirements

The Isle of Berk brings the Viking village in the How to Train Your Dragon films to life. There are rides of varying thrill levels with something for everyone in your group to enjoy.

• Dragon Racer's Rally: Minimum Height 48" (122 cm)
• Fyre Drill: No Minimum Height

SUPER NINTENDO WORLD Height Requirements

In Super Nintendo World you can experience different classic video game worlds. Race around in Mario Kart, go on an adventure with Yoshi and speed through the world of Donkey Kong in a mine cart.

• Mine-Cart Madness: Minimum Height 40" (102 cm)
• Yoshi's Adventure: Minimum Height 34” (86 cm)

Dark Universe Height Requirements

The classics are alive in Epic Universe’s Dark Universe. Monsters come to life in this spooky land.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic Height Requirements

Visit 1920s Paris and a 1990s British Ministry in one land thanks to magic and Universal’s clever design. More Wizarding World is something to be excited about.

Is Epic Universe kid friendly? Can kids go on the rides at Epic Universe?

Based on the listed height requirements, it looks like reaching a height of 48” allows guests to enjoy all of the rides at Epic Universe. There are rides that those 40” and even 34” tall can enjoy. If you want the full theme park experience and the option to enjoy everything in the park together, make sure all of the guests in your party are at least 48” tall.

How far is Epic Universe from Disney?

If you’re traveling with little ones, you may be experiencing more than one theme park destination on your trip to Orlando. Epic Universe is about 20-30 minutes from Disney World without traffic. It could be longer depending on the time of day. During rush hour periods in the morning and evening, the main road between the two properties, I-4, is quite congested. Many people stay at one and visit the other though. It’s very doable just not as convenient for afternoon naps or breaks when you have to go back and forth.
