DVC Average Resale Price April 2022

Welcome, or welcome back, to our monthly DVC average resale price series. This time we're taking a look at the DVC average resale per point prices from April of 2022. The following numbers are based on DVC Resale Experts own sales and statistics. Based on all resorts combined, the DVC average resale price for April 2022 was around $135 per point. Note that this number can fluctuate quite a bit each month depending on which properties were sold and their point values. This is because resorts can vary so much in per point prices. The overall monthly DVC resale average price is down slightly from about $139 per point in March of 2022. When this occurs, it's not always a reflection of how things are going on the resale market but more likely to be related to which resorts and point values sold during the time period.

DVC Average Resale Price April 2022

The figures below are the average rates for the month. It's likely there were sales at higher and lower prices depending on the specifics of each contract sold. It's common for contracts with a high point value to sell for slightly less per point and contracts with smaller point values to sell for slightly more per point. Consider these numbers a starting point that will be adjusted based on the details of your contract if you're buying or selling resale DVC. 

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge sold for an average of $136 per point.

Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa Hotel sold for an average of $121 per point.

Disney's Beach Club Villas sold for an average of $165 per point.

Disney's BoardWalk Villas sold for an average of $139 per point.

Copper Creek Villas & Cabins sold for an average of $163 per point.

Disney's Old Key West Resort sold for an average of $120 per point.

Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows sold for an average of $167 per point.

Disney's Riviera Resort sold for an average of $140 per point.

Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa sold for an average of $130 per point.

Disney's Vero Beach Resort sold for an average of $75 per point.

We don't have numbers to report for Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort, The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel which had no sales finalized during the month of April.

Note that the DVC average resale price numbers for the month don't always align with the numbers in our Disney ROFR DVC Resale Stats monthly series. This is because contract sales often take more than thirty days from start to finish. Details of a single contract can be reported over more than one month.

DVC Average Resale Price Thoughts

When you compare DVC direct prices vs resale, the difference is often surprising. It's possible to save thousands buying DVC resale instead of direct from Disney. As of the time this post was written, Disney is selling Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa for $200 per point when buying direct. On the resale market, Saratoga Springs is currently going for around $130 per point depending on the details of the contract. For a 150 point contract that's a savings of $10,500 when you buy resale instead of direct! Resale DVC prices continue to rise over time but in most cases present a much better rate than buying from Disney. Want more information of this kind?
