DVC Average Resale Price 2021

Polynesian Villas Face

There’s no doubt about it. The DVC average resale price is a much better value compared to buying Disney Vacation Club directly from Disney. The Disney timeshare holds its value as it stays in demand each year. Direct and resale DVC prices have steadily gone up over time. Now that we have a year of data to look through, let’s go over the DVC average resale price 2021 had for us and take a look at the price of each resort individually.

DVC Average Resale Price 2021

According to the DVC Resale Experts 2021 sales and year end numbers, the DVC average resale price of resorts overall in 2021 was $136.73 per point. For comparison, that’s about $68 lower than the 2021 average direct price which was $205 per point. That means the average resale price in 2021 had about a 33% savings versus buying DVC directly from Disney that year. It’s easy to weigh out the financial difference when looking at the numbers side by side like this.

Animal Kingdom Lodge DVC resale sold for $123 per point on average in 2021. This is up from $116 in 2020.

Aulani resale sold for $114 per point up from $97 the year prior.

Bay Lake Tower resale DVC points were $158 on average. That’s about an $11 increase from the average resale price of $147 in 2020.

The newer and neighboring Copper Creek sold for about $157 per resale DVC point.

Grand Californian had a big jump to $262 per resale DVC point up from $219 the year prior. This resort is the first to reach and exceed the $300 per point price when buying directly from Disney Vacation Club. That’s the highest per point direct price yet.

Grand Floridian DVC resale points sold for $179 up from $165 in 2020. We’ll have to see if the addition of more Grand Floridian studios in 2022 bring any correlated pricing changes to resale.

The original DVC resort, Old Key West, sold for $105 per resale DVC point.
