If you want to know how to visit the Spaceship Earth lounge, here's the short version:

• The Spaceship Earth lounge is called GEO-82.
• The lounge is for guests 21 and up.
• Anyone can visit, it's not a DVC lounge, but you must have a reservation.
• Reservations can be made online or using the My Disney Experience app starting May 6th, 2025.
• The GEO-82 lounge opens June 4th, 2025.
• The lounge is actually behind the large "ball" attraction in a separate building attached to it.

What is the name of the Spaceship Earth lounge? What does it mean?

The name of the Epcot lounge behind Spaceship Earth is GEO-82. The meaning behind it is GEO is short for geodesic sphere and 82 represents the year Epcot opened. Spaceship Earth is a geodesic sphere. It's basically a round shape made from putting triangles together. It was a good year at Walt Disney World when Epcot opened on October 1, 1982.

Where is the GEO-82 lounge?

In the image above, you can see the windows of the Spaceship Earth lounge, GEO-82, overlooking the World Celebration area. It's right behind the Walt Disney statue. It's actually behind Spaceship Earth in a building attached to it.

The lounge entrance will probably be back towards this part of the building in the World Celebration neighborhood of the park, not near the attraction's entrance.

When does the GEO-82 lounge open?

GEO-82 opens on Wednesday June 4th, 2025. Reservations open on May 6th, 2025.

What are the GEO-82 hours?

Operating hours are not yet posted for GEO-82. It's not clear if it's an evening offering only or if it will be open throughout the day. It's a fairly small space so it would make sense for it to be open earlier than just the evening hours to serve more people.

Can anyone go to the Spaceship Earth lounge? Is the Spaceship Earth lounge for DVC Members only?

The Epcot GEO-82 lounge is open to all park visitors. The new Spaceship Earth lounge is not just for Disney Vacation Club Members. Anyone can get a reservation for the GEO-82 lounge. You just need a park ticket or Disney annual pass in order to enter the park.

Is GEO-82 adults only?

Yes, Disney announced the Spaceship Earth lounge GEO-82 is for adults 21 and up only. Children, or even those over 18, are not able to visit. Only those who are of drinking age can go to this lounge. This is different for Disney. This may be the only adults only venue at Disney in the parks.

The GEO-82 Fireworks Experience Details

There is also a fireworks package available at the Spaceship Earth lounge but it's quite pricey! The GEO-82 Fireworks Experience is $179 per person plus tax and gratuity and includes a reserved table by the window, a tiered appetizer tray, a plate of sweets, champagne and cocktails exclusive to this event. The Spaceship Earth lounge fireworks package ends up costing around $230. However, this seems to offer the least of all of the Disney fireworks dessert party type experiences.
