It's no secret that buying DVC resale can save you thousands of dollars when compared to buying direct from Disney Vacation Club. So how much is DVC resale? The answer varies greatly depending on details of the contract including the home resort, point value and points available. Contracts with more points usually cost a little less per point. Another determining factor is demand. Some of the more popular resorts, many at Walt Disney World Resort, cost a bit more than the beach resort properties Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort and Disney's Vero Beach Resort. The amount of time left on the resort's contracts also plays into the price. Let's take a look at recent per point prices for each resort, then overall contract prices and other costs to consider.

How Much Is DVC Resale?

First, let's talk about the per point price of DVC resale. This is over the last few months of 2024 and the first few months of 2025. These statistics are from DVC Resale Experts data. The prices listed below are estimated and based on actual sales. These per point prices are a starting point and vary by specific contract and individual seller.

Resorts listed as n/a are newer properties without sales in the time period. We typically don’t see many resale contracts come from the newest resorts. It takes a few years to see them on the resale market regularly as people change their minds for various reasons and decide to sell.

How much is DVC resale in 2025?

Now let's look at what those per point prices might cost overall in a few different point ranges. When you purchase a contract, you'll be looking for the right amount of points based on your vacation needs.

For a small family interested in staying for a week in a studio style room that sleeps four people, 150 points is a common number. Also see: What can you get with 150 DVC points? To calculate what that might cost, multiply any per point price by 150.

For example, in March of 2025 a contract at Disney's BoardWalk Villas was listed for $121 per point for $18,150 total.

For those with a smaller budget or only wanting to stay a few nights with their points, a 25 or 50 point contract could do. Especially since you can bank and borrow your points to use a few years worth together. Small point values are not suitable for those who want to have long stays or use their points to book bigger villas. However, a contract of this size might be feasible for someone who wants the smallest room and only plans to stay a couple of nights at a time.

During this same time period, a BoardWalk 25 point, $128 per point contract was around $3,200.

On the other end of things, the more points you buy, the better the price per point usually is. It's possible to find a 400, 500 or even 600 point contract if you're ready to go all in for roomy accommodations or long stays.

Other DVC Costs to Consider

Then there's how you pay. If you plan to finance, you'll have interest to count in your overall cost of DVC.

Closing costs are also part of the deal and vary by home resort.
