After closing you’re close to booking your trip with your points, but first, you’ll need to get set up with your Membership portal and your DVC Member Number. How long after buying resale DVC to get Member number?

For starters, if you are currently a Disney Vacation Club Member and adding on points, your new contract will appear in your Membership Portal within seven to ten business days after closing. Note that if you add on points with the same Use Year, you will not receive another Member number. Having the same Use Year, when possible, makes for a smooth addition and easy banking, borrowing and transferring.
If you’re joining Disney Vacation Club through resale, new Members get their Disney Vacation Club ID and activation code about four to five weeks after closing. This will also give you access to your digital Disney Vacation Club Membership Card which is accessed in the My Disney Experience App. About six to seven weeks total from the time you go under contract is an accurate time frame to expect to get into your new account and start booking.
