Minnie Vans Are Back!

Minnie Vans

Minnie Vans are officially back at Walt Disney World and this is not “minnie” news. The news hit  Disney goers this week via a 13 second viral Tik-Tok video, announcing that Minnie Vans would be “rolling back in this summer.” The news was announced on Disney’s official Tik-Tok as a teaser with no other information yet to follow… ( Disney LOVES keeping us in anticipation.) Even the official Walt Disney World Company website says that the Lyft Minnie Vans are still temporarily unavailable.

The Minnie Van was introduced to the Disney vacation experience back in 2017, when Disney partnered with Lyft car services to make another magical Disney feature to add to your vacation. The six passenger vehicle decked out to resemble Minnie Mouse was THE way to get to a park, a Disney dinner reservation, or to your resort from the airport. The Minnie Van experience was right in line with Disney gold pixie stardust standards. A friendly Disney Cast Member would pick you up from your location in a spacious and comfortable vehicle equipped with two child safety seats. (This is unlike Uber, which only offers one car seat.)

The Minnie Van idea was a great way to take a magical spin on an ordinary commute, as Disney wants to help you start your memories as soon as possible. And using the Minnie Van service is as easier than saying “Meeska Mooska Mickey Mouse.” To request your Minnie Van vehicle, simply download the Lyft App on your smartphone and type in the address of your desired location. Before you confirm your ride, the app will show you the cost for that destination, along with the wait time. Minnie Vans typically cost somewhere between $20 to $50 per ride, and vehicles usually do not leave Disney Parks. Disney also offers a Minnie Van prebook from Orlando International Airport and your Walt Disney World Resort of choice for $155, this price does not include gratuity. All numbers reflected are pre pandemic estimates as new information has not been announced yet.
