New DVC Grand Floridian Rooms Available Now Online!

New DVC Grand Floridian Rooms Available Now Online!

The waiting game is over, and our wish from Genie has come true: more Disney Vacation Club inventory is debuting at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and is ready for your next DVC vacation!

Here’s the history: Disney Vacation Club members had been asking for more rooms at the Grand Floridian, and in 2011 Disney delivered more rooms via The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. This meant more booking opportunities for DVC members! Everyone was excited. EVERYONE. In fact too many people were excited, and the 71 rooms they made available to DVC members just wouldn’t cut it. The Villa’s inventory was not Grand enough, and ended up being the smallest inventory in the whole DVC program.

So DVC members went back to the wishing and hoping ( and online board conversations and calling DVC ) asking for more Grand Floridian inventory…and “all dreams come true if you have the courage to pursue them.”- Walt Disney. And over ten years later DVC announced they would be adding more availability for DVC members at the Grand Floridian!

Disney started construction on turning the “Big Pine Key” building into a DVC Members only exclusive wing and it’s on track to be debuted to DVC members on June 20,2022.  Over 200 rooms will be available from now on for DVC members for future vacations (now THAT’S grand).

If you are interested in booking at Disney’s Grand Floridian, you no longer need to call Disney’s hotline, reservations are available online starting the weekend of May 21,2022.

There are three different room options for the newest inventory:

S-Standard View

L-Lake View

TP- Theme Park View

Standard is the least amount of points per night with Theme Park View using the most amount of your points. September points for a weekly stay in a Standard View room are 120 points per week, and a Theme Park View room for up to 5 guests is currently 176 points a week, with Lake View right in the middle at 143 points weekly. But, remember the TPV rooms will face Magic Kingdom, which is the reasoning for more points cost.

Whether Disney’s Grand Floridian is your DVC home resort or you were one of the DVC members wishing for more DVC inventory, it’s exciting news all around! We at DVC Resale Experts are here to announce the newest in the Walt Disney and DVC World!
