Just because American Idol is on island time doesn’t mean you can wait to get your votes in. Disney has officially announced that ABC’s American Idol will be shooting two episodes of its fifth season (20th season overall) at Aulani, A Disney Resort and Spa in Hawaii.
American Idol and Disney are alike in that they can spot talent and bring the best out of people, combined it will produce a truly magical season. After the lucky vocalists hear those four life changing words, “You’re going to Hollywood”, they will be shooting the next week at the Aulani resort, for the third time since the show rebooted with ABC. With the help from their celebrity coaches and judges, Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan, the contestants will work on their vocal range and song selections, which will then be showcased in a beach style concert right at the Aulani Resort.
Not only will the contestants be working on their high notes, they will have ocean front views of the high tides and ABC has expressed that the selected contestants will be able to have free time to explore and indulge in all that the popular Hawaiian resort has to offer!
The season premiere of American Idol airs February 27, 2022. So many of the shows finalists end up working closely with The Walt Disney World Company. We are looking forward to seeing the show’s hidden talent treasures and watch dreams start to come true at the place where they always do- Disney.
