Another wish come true- Housekeeping Services are back to the resorts!

Walt and Mickey

Remember the days when you would come back to your Disney resort from your family fun filled day of Disney Magic and the beds would be made, the bathrooms would be clean, the towels were fresh, and you felt as though Snow White’s Seven Dwarves took care of everything for you while you were away? We do too, and we are happy to announce that those days are back!

The Covid-19 pandemic changed a lot of how we act in our day to day life, and of course this had an impact on the way we vacation too. The housekeeping schedule change at Disney Resorts might have even gone unnoticed to some because we were just excited to get our DVC dose of Disney Magic. For those of you who have noticed, your wish has been granted and the pre-pandemic housekeeping schedule has returned to select Disney Resorts. The list so far includes:

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

Disney’s Boardwalk Resort

• Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort

• Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts

Disney’s Riviera Resort

Old Key West Resort

Saratoga Springs Resort

The list is ever changing and is expected to keep growing throughout the summer. Guests staying at these resorts can expect more frequent resort room cleanings which includes but is not limited too: daily sheet refreshing, bed making, full bathroom cleanings, vacuuming, dusting, and towel and amenity replacements.

Now as for Disney Vacation Club members, the pre pandemic housekeeping schedule has not come back…YET. Rumors are that they will be back soon, but as for now the only way to have the housekeeping service is to purchase additional house cleaning services from your DVC resort of choice. Or maybe if you see Snow White’s Seven Dwarves at Magic Kingdom, you can ask them if they would be interested in some extra Disney Vacation Club resort cleaning. But remember, they do not want paid in apples! The Evil Witch really did a number on those guys.
