Disneyland DVC Resorts

Disneyland DVC Resorts

It’s known as the happiest place on earth and Disneyland is really something special. You’ll be enchanted with its little pink castle, quaint details, vibrant entertainment and many, many attractions. When it comes to resorts, Disneyland is nothing like Walt Disney World. At Disneyland there are only three official Disney resort hotels to choose from. Because there are so many fewer Disney Vacation Club Resorts at Disneyland Resort, it’s also more challenging to get a reservation there. If booking stays at Disneyland is a must, consider buying a contract at a home resort there. Let’s take a quick look at Disneyland Resort, the resort hotel options and what Disney Vacation Club looks like on the west coast.

Disneyland DVC Resorts

Disneyland Resort is a lot smaller than Walt Disney World Resort. As the original, it’s absolutely still worth visiting and has plenty of magic to offer. There are two parks, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, and they are located right across from each other. You can see, and walk to, the entrance of one park from the other. It’s quite convenient and the resorts are also extremely accessible. If you’ve ever stayed at Bay Lake Tower and appreciated the luxury of a quick walk back to the resort at the end of a long park day, you’ll love Disneyland.

At Disneyland Resort guests can pick from one of three official Disney resorts: Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel and Disneyland Hotel. There are also many Good Neighbor Hotels which are, “Disney-approved quality hotels close to the Disneyland Resort.” As of 2022, there is only one Disney Vacation Club resort at Disneyland: The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. The Grand Californian has a theme based around the state and is done in a craftsman style. It has a similar feel to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and was actually designed by the same architect. The best part of staying at The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa might be the special park entrance at the resort that lets guests right into Disney California Adventure Park.

There are plans in motion to add Disney Vacation Club to Disneyland Hotel. Possibly called The Villas at Disneyland Hotel, this property would be a new building and have rooms inspired by the classic film Sleeping Beauty.
