We are halfway into Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebrations, and the magic is still being sprinkled like pixie dust over the parks. Next month the magic will hit Harmony Barber Shop, as it finally comes back to life. After being shut down for over two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Main Street USA is thrilled to announce the reopening of the Harmony Barber Shop, a Disney staple that has been there since Magic Kingdom first opened its doors.
Disney is beyond excited about the magic that is to about to begin again at Magic Kingdom:
“A mainstay of Magic Kingdom Park since opening day, Harmony Barber Shop is opening its doors once again on July 31 for the world’s most magical haircut. Considered by many to be a rite-of-passage, the cherished “My First Haircut” experience is making its return as stylists eagerly await to shower their young friends with magic and extra special pixie dust for the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebration to commemorate this special milestone. In fact, guests of all ages are welcome to take a break from the hustle and bustle and let our friendly stylists polish you up for a day at the park.
The “My First Haircut” experience is a memory in a memory, as you celebrate your little one’s first hair cut on the most magical main street on earth- Main Street USA, Magic Kingdom.
Disney will start taking appointments for the Harmony Barber Shop on June 28th, on the My Disney Experience App, and the reopening date will be July 31st! Be sure to book as soon as you have your DVC Vacation mapped out because fellow DVC members have been waiting over two years to get their haircut at this magical place!
Disney also has announced that the Bippity Boppity Boo Boutique will be opening again sometime this year, but Disney has yet to make an official reopening date announcement.
The Magic continues to sprinkle on the 50th Anniversary Celebration year, and we can’t wait to see what else Disney has in store for us this summer.
