How much are Disney Vacation Club 2022 Annual Dues?

Resale Disney Vacation Club often presents the best value when compared to buying direct from Disney. In some cases, it’s possible to save more than $10,000 on a contract when you buy resale. Despite the upfront savings, those who purchase resale still pay annual dues to Disney Vacation Club. It’s just part of the fun and, when you do the math, DVC is still an excellent value for this interested in staying in Deluxe tier Disney resort hotels each year. These non-negotiable fees go to pay for things like insurance, maintenance, administration and front desk costs, animal programs, member activities, transportation, insurance for cast members, annual audits, DVC reservations, fees to the division, housekeeping, income taxes, general excise tax, shared area expenses, legal fees, management fee, security and utilities. Before making the commitment to become a Member, it’s good to know the full financial run down. So how much are Disney Vacation Club 2022 annual dues? Let’s look over the Disney Vacation Club 2022 annual dues for each resort.

Disney Vacation Club 2022 Annual Dues

First, note how annual dues work. The following numbers are annual dues per each point a Member owns. You can calculate how much annual dues for any resort will cost by multiplying the number below by how many points the contract is. The more points you own, the more you pay in annual dues. For example, if someone owns a 150 point contract at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, then in 2022 at $7.08 per point, they will pay $1062.00 in annual dues. There are a few exceptions to the numbers below, for a couple of resorts, based on when the contract was purchased. These per point annual dues numbers are what most people can expect to pay.

Do DVC annual dues go up?

These are the 2022 rates for annual dues. Historically, Disney Vacation Club annual dues go up a small amount each year, or a bit more when justified by a specific cause. For example, most recently, there was a 7% increase on the annual dues at The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel. The justification was that money is going to be put in reserves for some renovations planned for 2024. On the contrary, sometimes annual dues don’t go up at all, or rise just a few cents, from year to year. When a resort is first built, it’s less likely to need any work. From 2021 to 2022, Copper Creek Villas and Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, which debuted in 2017, went up just one cent per point in annual dues costs.

The resorts with the highest annual dues costs are Disney’s Vero Beach Resort at $11.94 per point and Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort at $10.07 per point. The beach locations and corresponding upkeep is likely to be part of what contributes to those higher costs. Something else to consider, the original Disney Vacation Club resort, now called Disney’s Old Key West Resort, opened over thirty years ago at Walt Disney World Resort. Annual dues for Old Key West Resort are still just $8.81 today in 2022.

Each year, Disney Vacation Club has an annual meeting near the year’s end. It’s at this Annual Meetings of the Board of Directors and Annual Meetings of the Members that we hear information about proposed annual dues for the coming year and other Disney Vacation Club news and updates.
