How Much Is DVC Resale?

How Much Is DVC Resale?

It’s no secret that buying DVC resale can save you thousands of dollars when compared to buying direct from Disney Vacation Club. So how much is DVC resale? The answer varies greatly depending on details of the contract including the home resort, point value and points available. Another determining factor is demand. Some of the more popular resorts, many at Walt Disney World Resort, cost a bit more than the beach resort properties Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort and Disney’s Vero Beach Resort. It’s also possible the time of year you make your purchase may have an affect on per point prices. While there isn’t a measurable season or month to aim to buy, per point prices tend to fluctuate month to month at random. Let’s take a look at recent per point prices for each resort.

How Much Is DVC Resale?

First, let’s talk about a general price range for DVC resale. It’s possible to get a very tiny contract for under $4,000 as of 2022. At the time this post was written both Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas had 25 point contracts with pending sales that were in that low price range. These are obviously small point values and not suitable for those who want to have long stays or use their points to book bigger villas. However, a contract of this size might be feasible for someone who wants the smallest room and only plans to stay a couple of nights at a time. It’s even more realistic if you’re ok with banking or borrowing points and visiting every other year. This is just to illustrate the lowest DVC resale price one could pay and what’s possible at that rate.

On the other end of things, the more points you buy, the better the price per point usually is. It’s possible to find a 400, 500 or even 600 point contract if you’re ready to go all in. One example is a 400 point contract at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows that’s listed for $66,400 total which works out to be $166 per point. Here’s something to illustrate my point about how the point value can have an effect on the price per point. During the same time period, a smaller 75 point contract at the Polynesian was listed for $175 per point. To keep our clients and potential buyers and sellers up to date, each month we cover recent prices. The DVC average resale price monthly posts are based on DVC Resale Experts own sales and data. The prices listed below are estimated based on actual sales from the last year.
