Five Ways to Pamper Yourself at Disney World

Colorful Basin bath salts are one way to pamper yourself at Disney World

Running from one ride to the next or scoping out the best parade spot are far from low key. Just beyond the hustle and bustle of the parks are places for you to pamper yourself at Disney World. Many people associate Disney visits with crowds. If you have been many times, you might know it’s possible to enjoy quieter, more unique or even relaxing experiences at Walt Disney World Resort. There is just so much to do at Disney, if you don’t seek out down time or rest or put it in your itinerary, you just might forget to do it. Imagine having a blast but also spending some restorative time on your trip. When you want to relax or indulge in personalized experiences, consider these five ways to pamper yourself at Disney World.

Five Ways to Pamper Yourself at Disney World

A Disney World Spa Day

Disney goers sometimes joke about needing a vacation after their vacation. Even if you’re just popping into Epcot for a snack in World Showcase, you can easily hit two miles from and back to the parking lot. It can be the best kind of exhausting running around those theme parks. What if you spend a relaxing day at the spa on your trip in addition to all of the fun? Spa days can be the ultimate way to relax. In a quiet, dimly lit space you can have a facial, massage or some other spa treatment that says peace to you. Disney is known for high energy fun but also for memorable guest service. At Disney spas, you’ll receive tailored, top notch service that will make you feel absolutely pampered.

There are a few spas you can visit at Walt Disney World. The Grand Floridian Spa is located at the flagship resort on property. You’ll love the heated massage beds and aroma therapy added to your service. It’s easy to fit in half a day at The Grand Floridian Spa, then hop on the monorail for more theme park magic. Another one to note is the Waldorf Astoria Orlando spa, located within Disney property. The amenities here are swoon-worthy with a large steam room you can access before or after a service and a salt room you can purchase a visit to. Over at the Swan and Dolphin Resort in between Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Mandara Spa has an ornate, visually stunning interior. No matter where you go, there’s something special you’ll love at Disney spas.

Relax at Your Disney Resort with Basin

If a spa day isn’t your thing, or you want additional relaxation on your trip, visit Basin. This bath product store has a delightful range of smell good goodies. With two locations, it’s convenient to fit some shopping into your trip. If you’re staying at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, there is a Basin store on the second floor of the lobby. There is an even bigger location at Disney Springs. Indulge in body scrubs, shower bombs or fancy soaps.

Many Disney Vacation Club rooms have lovely bath tubs that are just asking for a bath bomb. For those new to the fancy bath club, a bath bomb dissolves in bath water and fills it with refreshing scents and sometimes nourishing ingredients. When you’ve done 15,000 steps in a day and are ready to unwind, a hot bath sounds like a good way to do it. Some of the best bath tubs are in one bedroom and higher DVC villas. In the Copper Creek villas you’ll find an amazing large bath tub next to a geode art wall that’s absolute eye candy. Sounds like a great place to take a break from it all and pamper yourself at Disney World.

Take a Minnie Van Ride

Yes, Disney provides transportation around property in quite a few forms. We all love a good monorail, ferry or skyliner ride. Sometimes you need to get around in a way that’s a little more personally tailored to your itinerary. Let’s say you’re staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge but have a fancy dinner reservation at Disney’s Grand Floridian. If you’re all dressed up, you might not want to take multiple means of transportation around Disney to get to a nice meal. A Minnie Van can pick you up from your resort and take you right where you need to go. Convenient access is a nice way to pamper yourself at Disney World.

Another great place to take a Minnie Van to is Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. Typically you’d have to take a bus to Fort Wilderness or Wilderness Lodge, then take another bus to the area the restaurant is located. A Minnie Van can drop you off right near the show, saving you some time.

Book a Disney Tour

Tours are great for a range of visitors. There are family friendly VIP tours where you can take the whole group and have a day of skipping the lines tailored to your preferences. Then there are educational tours like the Behind the Seeds tour at Epcot. Disney describes this one as a “one-hour backstage walking tour of the greenhouses of the Land Pavilion where Guests learn about the future of agriculture.” Getting to go backstage at Disney Parks is neat for everyone. It’s such a massive operation and seeing behind the scenes of the big show is fascinating. If this sounds interesting to you, then consider the Keys to the Kingdom Tour. This five hour tour of Magic Kingdom gives guests a chance to visit the underground space at the park called the ultilidor. You will also learn lots of information about Disney history and attractions.

Set Sail on a Fireworks Cruise to Pamper Yourself at Disney World

Fireworks cruises are absolutely magical. It feels like you get a private viewing of the sparkles in the sky. Imagine seeing nighttime spectaculars, surrounded by the music but comfortably seated and away from the crowds. It’s all possible with a private fireworks cruise! You can set sail from Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club marina for Epcot fireworks. The Contemporary, Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge Marinas all have firework cruises that see Magic Kingdom nighttime shows. Book your boat for up to ten people, with a driver and snacks included, by calling (407) WDW-PLAY.

There are also group fireworks cruises you can enjoy with other guests. When it’s offered, the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Cruise has a dessert party at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, characters and a real pirate that cruises with you, sings and tells jokes on the Seven Seas Lagoon. Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise is a ninety minute firework, dessert cruise on one of Disney’s iconic ferryboats. These take place on select nights and usually sell out so plan ahead by booking online.

Host a Private Event

Within Disney World’s incredible architecture is an array of fabulous, rentable venues. Aside from Disney Weddings, Disney Meetings and Events can put together something special for you and your group in exclusive spaces. A starter event is a private firework dessert party in a World Showcase pavilion. You and your guests can enjoy a private, outdoor viewing space and a dessert bar with the treats of your choosing.

You can also rent an indoor space. The trick is, in most cases you just have to meet a food and beverage minimum to secure a spot. You can pamper yourself at Disney World by creating your own menu, inviting a character to your private event and telling Disney what kind of decor you want to be surrounded with. Have you ever dreamed of hosting a dinner inside a lounge in World Showcase pavilion? Want to have Disney create a floral masterpiece inspired by your celebration? Care to surprise someone you love with an unforgettable custom experience? Work with Disney Meeting and Events to make your gathering dreams come true.
