What is a Good Price Per Point for DVC Resale?

In regards to what is a good price per point on DVC resale, numbers will be different for each Disney Vacation Club Resort. What feels like a great per point value at The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa would be far too much for Disney’s Vero Beach Resort. It’s also possible that the price per point may vary based on the point value of the contract. Sometimes contracts with more points are sold for a lower per point price. In order to determine a good price per point for DVC resale, we’ll look over recent DVC average resale prices. It’s also important to note that historically, those who buy resale vs. direct typically save 30% to 50% on a Disney Vacation Club Membership. Just by choosing resale over direct, you have an advantage on price.

DVC Resale Prices Can Vary

At the time this post was written in February of 2022, there are two identical resale DVC listings for Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. Each is a 100 point contract with a February Use Year and the same Deed Expiration of 2066, of course. They both even have the same amount of points available with none for last year, 100 for this year and 100 for next year. One of the contracts is listed for $17,900 which is $179 per point. The other is listed for $16,900 which is $169 per point. This is an example of prices varying even when the specifics of the contracts are the same.

Consider Right of First Refusal

This leads us to another thought; the Right of First Refusal. The Right of First Refusal, or ROFR, is part of the Disney Vacation Club contract that states Disney is able to purchase a Membership back instead of a contracted buyer. The lower the point price the more intriguing a resale contract might be for Disney. If it’s a property, point value and price DVC is interested in they might buy the contract back and leave you looking for another. DVC Resale Experts works to guide clients to submit an offer that’s a competitive number that still feels like a good value. In the event Disney exercises the Right of First Refusal and buys a contract back, DVC Resale Experts will help you find another contract that’s a perfect fit at a good price.
