What Perks Can You Use with DVC Resale

While the financial savings are incredible, you might also be wondering, ‘what perks can you use with DVC resale?’ It doesn’t include everything you get when you qualify through buying direct but there are actually a decent amount of perks that come with DVC resale. The Disney timeshare already offers a much better value than booking individual, annual Deluxe resorts stays. The price of resale can be thousands lower than buying from Disney depending on the resort, amount of points and other details. While the real benefit of DVC is staying at incredible resorts every year, the resale perks are worth mentioning too.

What Perks Can You Use with DVC Resale?

DVC Resale Comes with Free Parking

At Deluxe tier Disney Resort hotels, parking is now $25.00 per night. DVC resale does include complimentary parking on your stays. This is a nice piece of change to save on your trips that certainly adds up over time. Even just a week vacation lets you save $175.00 in parking. Also consider all Disney Resort guests park for free at the theme parks so you won’t be paying for parking as a Member unless you decide to upgrade to preferred parking or valet parking.

Home Resort Booking Advantage

With resale, you still get the eleven month Home Resort booking advantage. This definitely makes a difference and it’s recommended to buy where you want to stay so you always have the best chance of booking your preferred dates.

DVC Pool Hopping Perk

This one is kind of random but resale DVC also includes the fun resort pool hopping perk at eligible properties. Yes, this means on your DVC stays you can also hop over to use select other resort pools.

With Resale DVC You Can Book at Original DVC Resorts

You have great flexibility in resort choice when booking with resale DVC points with almost all Home Resorts. The exception is the fifteenth Disney Vacation Club resort which is Disney’s Riviera Resort. In 2019, Disney announced new restrictions for resale and categorized all resorts built before Riviera into the same category essentially. If you buy resale at one of those resorts, you can use your points to book at the others. It’s different with Riviera in that it must be your Home Resort in order to book there with resale DVC points and if Riviera is your Home Resort, you can’t use your points to book at other resorts.

Resale DVC Allows You to Book Internationally

The World Collection is available to use with resale DVC points. This means you can exchange resale DVC points through exchange partner Interval International. This may not be something you’re interested in but it’s nice to know it’s an option.
