What Benefits Do I Not Get with DVC Resale

What Benefits Do I Not Get with DVC Resale

The Disney timeshare opportunity Disney Vacation Club is a flexible, point based system that enables its Members to book hotel accommodations at magical destinations year after year. Compared to paying cash, Disney Vacation Club offers a much better value for staying at Deluxe tier resorts annually. With resale DVC, you can save thousands over buying direct from Disney. We’ve got answers if you’re wondering, ‘what benefits do I not get with dvc resale?’ It’s important to know all the details so you can feel confident in your DVC purchase.

What Benefits Do I Not Get with DVC Resale?

Booking extras with points

The Disney Collection is not included with resale. This includes using points to book additional resort hotels domestically and internationally like properties found at Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Resort. DVC resale points also can not be used to book Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney or the Concierge Collection.

Certain special events are not included with resale

While resale does include access to the exciting Top of the World Lounge, it doesn’t include special events like Member Cruises or Moonlight Magic events. It’s important to know these events aren’t guaranteed and often have other requirements like needing a room reservation at the time of the event.

DVC resale doesn’t include DVC discounts

Disney Vacation Club discounts on tickets, shopping, dining and recreation aren’t included with resale. These discounts can’t be stacked and are comparable Annual Pass discounts and Disney Chase Visa discounts.

DVC Direct vs Resale

In order to qualify for the perks mentioned above, Disney Vacation Club says the following: ‘Effective June 3, 2021, to obtain a Disney Vacation Club Membership Card, Members must accumulate a total of at least 150 Vacation Points purchased directly from Disney Vacation Development, Inc.’ The blue Disney Vacation Club Membership Card is what’s being referred to here. Note that the upfront financial savings always make resale DVC worth considering before buying direct. Also know that resale comes with incredible perks that add up in addition to upfront savings. For example, parking at Deluxe resorts is now up to $25.00 per night. Resale DVC Members don’t pay for parking on DVC stays. On a five night stay, that’s $125.00 saved. DVC stays also mean no paying to park at the parks. You can visit this page on the Disney Vacation Club website for a more complete look at perks and extras included with DVC direct vs resale.
